What you can expect from this yoga retreat in the mountains

 

Each day of this retreat is dedicated to a specific theme so that you can get a little closer to yourself step by step. Your sense of being exactly right in the present moment will be strengthened with each day. You will notice how you become more and more in tune with yourself and can once again meet the world with more kindness, care and love.

You start each day in silence, with pranayma and meditation to feel your energy and strengthen your body and mind. This is followed by a yoga session with Anna or Nathalie (Hatha, Prana Vinyasa or Tantric Hatha). After the practice, we enjoy a vegan breakfast together on our sun terrace.

In the afternoon, you have time to relax on a deckchair on the mountain meadow or explore the unspoiled nature and go on hikes to an alpine pasture. Our house is located in the Trudner Horn Nature Park and various hiking trails start directly from the front door. The nearby village inn invites you to enjoy an afternoon coffee.

 

In the evening or late afternoon, a relaxing yin practice, an inspiring workshop or a guided meditation, always dedicated to the theme of the day, awaits you. Shared dinners on the terrace invite you to exchange ideas before you end the day in convivial company or in quiet reflection. As a special highlight, we have also planned a sunset hike.

 

 

 

Why us?

Because we love what we do and we do what we love

 

Anna is a passionate yoga teacher who loves the sun and the mountains of South Tyrol. She firmly believes that yoga is accessible to EVERYONE, regardless of age, body shape, fitness level or gender. Her goal is to bring yoga to the world, open new spaces and create connections to increase the well-being of all. Anna, a summer child born in winter, has a free spirit and travels, studies and teaches as much as possible. She specializes in Hatha Yoga, Tantric Hatha/Moon Practice and Vinyasa and is bubbling with new ideas.

 

And then there's Nathalie, the perfect complement to Anna.  She is emotional, loud, funny, a bit crazy, caring and a great bundle of energy. Nathalie has trained in Prana Vinyasa and runs her own yoga studio, Navaflow, in Merano. 

In the midst of hectic everyday life, yoga is Nathalie's anchor for peace, balance and a wonderful way to spend time for herself. The dynamic movements and calming breaths help her to center herself and find an inner balance that carries her through the day.

Her goal with yoga is to take you on a journey of self-discovery and well-being. She firmly believes that yoga not only builds physical strength, but also provides a sense of inner serenity and joy. For Nathalie, yoga is about loving yourself unconditionally and feeling the profound connection between yourself and everything in the universe.

 

Yoga with us:

 

During the retreat you will practice Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and learn different types of meditation and breathing exercises every day. We practise in the chapel, which has been converted into a yoga room, or on the mountain meadow.

This week offers you the opportunity to get to know the basics of yoga and meditation and to develop a personal yoga routine for the future. On the first day, you can look forward to a workshop in which we will respond to each participant individually, explain the most important asanas in detail and offer space for experimentation and adjustments.

 

Culinary delights:

 

Anna and Nathalie will take care of your well-being from morning to night during the retreat. The two have a soft spot for good Italian cuisine and will conjure up vegan delicacies on the table this week. The fruit and vegetables used come from South Tyrol, where the summer provides rich harvests and Anna has a large vegetable garden. We attach great importance to using regional products and focus on sustainable cuisine with short delivery routes. After the morning yoga session, we serve a hearty vegan brunch. Fruit, muesli, coffee and tea are available for you during the day, and a small but delicious vegan dinner awaits you in the evening.

The accommodation:

 

Landhaus Leonhard offers three bedrooms, each with two single beds on the first floor and two separate single beds on the upper floor. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bathtub. The living room and the bright parlor invite you to relax, and a small library invites you to browse through novels and literature about the culture and history of South Tyrol. The newly renovated terrace invites you to spend balmy summer evenings by the fire, while vehicles can be parked directly in front of the house and bicycles safely in the cellar.

Arrival:

 

 

Landhaus Leonhard is located in the picturesque mountain village of Gfrill near Salurn at an altitude of 1,300 meters in the south of South Tyrol. We attach great importance to sustainability, which is why we offer all guests arriving by train a free pick-up service at Salurn train station. If you arrive in Bolzano by plane or Flixbus, we also offer a transfer service for an additional charge.

 

If you come by car, take the highway exit Neumarkt, follow the signs to Salurn and then continue via Buchholz to Gfrill.
